It's one person, not a queue. Expect a reply within two days. Include your iOS version and what happened right before the problem, and it'll be fixed faster.
Pick a lineage, set a length, name your sankalpa — a short intention in the present tense — and lie down. Use headphones if you have them; the sound design leans on binaural beating that mono speakers collapse.
Length is not padding. The app needs a long enough session to reach the trough, the deep silence where the crossing happens. Under about fifteen minutes there isn't room for it, and the threshold detection will rarely fire.
Turiya isn't reading my heart rate.
Open Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Turiya and confirm heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep are on. iOS asks per category, and it is easy to grant some and not others on the first run. If you have never worn an Apple Watch, there may be no HRV history to read — the readiness score will stay quiet rather than guess.
The threshold never fires.
It needs about sixty seconds of settled baseline plus a sustained decline before it will call a crossing, so it needs a real session — twenty minutes or more — and it works far better with the Apple Watch running, because the wrist gives one reading per second instead of one every five to ten minutes.
The Apple Watch app isn't on my watch.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps, and install Turiya. If it isn't listed, make sure the iPhone app is installed and the watch is paired and unlocked, then restart both.
Does the audio keep playing with the screen off?
Yes. Lock the phone and put it down — the session continues. On the Watch, the practice runs inside a workout session so it survives the wrist dropping, which is the only posture anyone actually practises in.
Where do my recordings go?
Nowhere. They stay in the app on your device. Turiya makes no network requests — there is no server to send anything to. Transcription runs on-device only. See the privacy policy.
How do I delete everything?
Delete individual entries in the Journal, or delete the app to remove its entire container. Workouts the Watch saved to Apple Health stay in the Health app under Browse → Activity → Workouts until you remove them there.
Can I use it without an Apple Watch?
Yes. The practice itself is complete on the phone. The Watch sharpens the measurement — live pacing through haptics, second-by-second heart rate, better threshold detection — but it is not required.
Turiya is a relaxation and meditation practice. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it diagnoses or treats anything. The readiness and coherence numbers are reflections of your own Apple Health data, offered so you can notice patterns — not clinical measurements. If something about your sleep or your health worries you, talk to a professional.
